      Color Source Effects

      Color Source Effects Introduction


      Color Source Effects are the first category in the Effects Library. The Color Source Effects are mostly basic and allow you to define a color, texture (such as a photo or noise), or your most recent drawing (what you just completed painting). In some cases, Color Sources allow you to add basic effects such as twists, oil, embosses, among others.

      Many other Library Categories also can act as Color Sources, so this is not the only category you have to make basic colors.

      If you do not have any color source (from this category or any others), then the color source used will be your Color 1 and Color 2 from the Control Pane.

      The following gives a brief list of each Color Source Effect, and what it does. Click the name for a detailed page outlining that Effects capabilities:

      ColorSelect colors from the Color Picker
      Color: ClockUse the clocks to create colors
      Color: HSVA MaskCreate or modify colors using a HSBA mask
      Color: RGBA MaskCreate or modify colors using a RGBA mask
      DrawingUse the Current Drawing as the color source
      Drawing: BlurUse a blurred Current Drawing as the color source
      Drawing: Edge DetectAn edge detected Current Drawing is the color source
      Drawing: EmbossAn embossed Current Drawing is the color source
