      Effect:Color Clock
      Category:Color Sources
      Speed:Fast

Description: The Color Clock Effect lets you create or modify colors based on the four Clocks that are set in the Brush Pane.

Clocks change over time as you paint on the Canvas. These changes can be applied to Color 1 and/or Color 2 allowing the colors to change dynamically as you paint.

Colors range between 0.00 and 1.00 in value. A good step is .01 or higher (or -.01 or lower if decrementing color).

Options: The Color Clock Effect has the following Options Pane:

Set Red to Clock:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Clock replaces the output Red color channel. When set to a Red X (Off) the Red output channel is not affected.
Red Clock:Specifies which of the four Clocks should be used to modify the Red channel.
Set Green to Clock:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Clock replaces the output Green color channel. When set to a Red X (Off) the Green output channel is not affected.
Green Clock:Specifies which of the four Clocks should be used to modify the Green channel.
Set Blue to Clock:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Clock replaces the output Blue color channel. When set to a Red X (Off) the Blue output channel is not affected.
Blue Clock:Specifies which of the four Clocks should be used to modify the Blue channel.
Set Alpha to Clock:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Clock replaces the output Alpha color channel. When set to a Red X (Off) the Alpha output channel is not affected.
Alpha Clock:Specifies which of the four Clocks should be used to modify the Alpha channel.
Output Color 1:By default this is set to REPLACE which means that the set color will be output to Color 1. You can change this as explained in Options Pane Color Mixers.
Output Color 2:By default this is set to IGNORE which means that the Color 2 will be ignored (the original Color 2 will be kept). You can change this as explained in Options Pane Color Mixers.

Example: In the image below we are painting with a small circular, rotating, and offset brush (in Line mode). We are using the Color Clock set to modify Red, Green, and Blue channels. The clocks each start at 1.0 and decrement. Clock 1 (R) decrements by -0.099, Clock 2 (G) by -0.022, and Clock 3 (B) by -0.019.

Because the three Clocks are decrementing at different values we get a large number of colors:
