|Effect:||Color HSBA Mask|
The Color HSBA Mask Effect lets you create or modify colors using numerical HSBA (Hue, Saturation, Brightness, and Alpha) values.|
You can use this Effect to completely create a new color or modify an existing color. For example, you could just modify the Hue of Color 1, or the Brightness of Color 2, etc.
You can learn more about the HSBA model in the description of the Color Picker.
The Color HSBA Mask Effect has the following Options Pane:|
|Hue:||Specifies the basic color (hue) to use. This is a value between 0 and 360.|
|Saturation:||Specifies how much color (saturation) to use. This is a value between 0.0 (no color at all) to 1.0 (fully saturated color).|
|Brightness:||This is how light or dark the color should be. This a value betwen 0.0 (black) and 1.0 (fully bright).|
|Alpha:||This is the transparency of the color. This is a value between 0 (completely transparent) to 255 (fully opaque).|
|Replace Hue:||When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Hue replaces the Hue of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Hue of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected|
|Replace Saturation:||When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Saturation replaces the Saturation of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Saturation of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected|
|Replace Brightness:||When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Brightness replaces the Brightness of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Brightness of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected|
|Replace Alpha:||When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Alpha replaces the Alpha of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Alpha of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected|
|Output Color 1:||By default this is set to REPLACE which means that the set color will be output to Color 1. You can change this as explained in Options Pane Color Mixers.|
|Output Color 2:||By default this is set to IGNORE which means that the Color 2 will be ignored (the original Color 2 will be kept). You can change this as explained in Options Pane Color Mixers.|
The image below shows an untouched original image of two orchid flowers:|
In the next image, we have used the orchid as a Texture and then applied the Color HSBA Mask to it. We only affected Hue (Brightness, Saturation, and Alpha were turned off) and left the Hue at the default 180. We then carefully painted the orchid on the left:
You can see the result is that the purple portions of the left orchid have been tinted (had the Hue changed to) blue.
