      Effect:Color RGBA Mask
      Category:Color Sources
      Speed:Fast

Description: The Color RGBA Mask Effect lets you create or modify colors using numerical RGBA (Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha) values.

You can use this Effect to completely create a new color or modify an existing color. For example, you could just modify the Red of Color 1, or the Green and Blue of Color 2, etc.

You can learn more about the RGBA model in the description of the Color Picker.

Options: The Color RGBA Mask Effect has the following Options Pane:

Red:Specifies the Red Channel value to use. This is a value between 0 (off) and 255 (fully red).
Green:Specifies the Green Channel value to use. This is a value between 0 (off) and 255 (fully green).
Blue:Specifies the Blue Channel value to use. This is a value between 0 (off) and 255 (fully blue).
Alpha:This is the transparency of the color. This is a value between 0 (completely transparent) to 255 (fully opaque).
Replace Red:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the set Red value replaces the Red of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Red of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected
Replace Green:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the set Green value replaces the Green of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Green of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected
Replace Blue:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the set Blue value replaces the Blue of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Blue of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected
Replace Alpha:When set to a Green Check Mark (On) the Alpha replaces the Alpha of the specified Color 1 and/or Color 2. When set to a Red X (Off) the Alpha of Color 1 and/or Color 2 remains unaffected
Output Color 1:By default this is set to REPLACE which means that the set color will be output to Color 1. You can change this as explained in Options Pane Color Mixers.
Output Color 2:By default this is set to IGNORE which means that the Color 2 will be ignored (the original Color 2 will be kept). You can change this as explained in Options Pane Color Mixers.

Example: In the image below we have used a Texture of an orchid flower and use Color RGBA Mask to modify only the Red channel (Green, Blue, and Alpha were turned off). Red was set to 128 (medium).

As you can see, the effect is to turn the white part of the flower cyan. Why? Because the white part of the flower has a red value mostly of 255, the Color RGBA Mask set that red to a lower value of 128, this leaving green and blue untouched which were also at mostly 255 - giving us a final cyan color results.
